Total thickness

Total thickness refers to the combined build-up of the flooring product, subject to how the manufacturer defines and tests it. The Superior Floor range lists different options by construction, including 2–3 mm dry-back, 5 mm loose lay and 3.5–6 mm SPC references. These are collection-level descriptions.

Wear-layer thickness

The wear layer is a protective transparent surface layer on many vinyl flooring products. Existing Superior Floor descriptions mention wear-layer ranges for selected families, but the specified value must be established for the exact SKU and configuration.

Do not compare one number in isolation

Installation type, backing, core formulation, locking system, surface treatment and performance testing also influence suitability. Request the full structure diagram and a verified test report instead of relying on a catalogue shorthand.

Ask for the same quotation fields

A comparison sheet should include model reference, décor, total thickness, wear layer, dimensions, edge, surface finish, backing, packing, intended use, test reports and confirmed lead time.
